ケシの名前は芥子の実からきており、芥子粒のように細かい真珠という意味です。
これらは人工的に核を入れて作られた真珠ではなく、体に、異物、例えば砂や虫などが入りそれらを核としてできた真珠です。
まさに偶然の中の偶然で生まれる、本当に珍しいあこや真珠です。

私はこのケシ真珠が大好きです。
ユニークな形、様々な色が凝縮されてできており、まるで天空の星々や宇宙の惑星のようです。
ケシ真珠を使いデザインする時にはいつも、

The ear-cuff with a string of Keshi pearls is called “The Comet”. The Keshi pearls are like the long tail of a comet swinging.

Human life is like a blink of an eye.
When I imagine the vastness of the universe stretching out beyond that sky, it makes me want to live like a comet - twinkling to the very end and then vanishing rather than dwelling on something.

I’d love to introduce jewellry pieces featuring Keshi pearls from C collections.
The name Keshi comes from the Japanese word for poppy seeds and refers to pearls that are as tiny as poppy seeds.

These pearls are not created by artificially inserting a nucleus. Instead, they form when foreign objects, such as sand or insects, enter the body and serve as nuclei. This is a truly rare akoya pearl, born of a series of coincidence.

I really love these Keshi pearls.
With their unique shapes and a concentration of various colours, they resemble the stars in the sky or planets in the universe.
Whenever I design with Keshi pearls, my thoughts always drift into the starry sky. 🌌
