“Hope like Water ”…そこに水がいつもあるように、希望もいつもある

acoya プロジェクトのための小さなコレクション、”ホープ　ライク　ウォーター”。日本の真珠養殖の方々は海の汚染と温暖化などのためにあこや貝の絶滅に晒されている。わたしは生き物すべてのために断固とした水の重要性を思い出すような何かを作りたかった。

一粒の水滴の美しさと壊れやすさはあこや貝の母貝に表現される。真珠それ自身は小さな、ネオン色の点を持ち、それは警告のサインであり見えにくいけれどしかし着けることが可能だ。タイトルの Hope like Water は ドイツのことわざ、Hope dies lastつまり　”事態がどれほど深刻であろうとも、好転するという確信を持ち続ける”これを引用している。

“Hope like Water”
The small collection for this Acoya project is called “Hope like Water”.
Pearlfarms in Japan are jeopardized by extinction of shellfish due to pollution and gradually warming of the sea. I wanted to create something that reminds us of the utter importance of water for all living subjects.

Beauty and fragility of a singel drop are translated into Mother of Pearl. The pearl itself has a tiny neon colored spot, a warning sign, hardly visible but to the wearer.The title “Hope like Water” refers to the German proverb “Hope dies last”.
