まっすぐに伸びるラインの美しさとその先に揺れるあこや真珠の美しさ。

霞んだ透明感、かすかな青...
光とともに変化するその海の色は、
天女の衣、あこや真珠

琴の海に伝わる昔話、”天女の琴の音”の天女の衣のような、
月の光を思わせる薄い青みを含んだ白色のあこや真珠。
つきしろ　という名は通常、げっぱくと読まれ、日本の色の名前にちなんでいます。

つきしろと読むと、月が東の空に昇る際に空がだんだん明るく白んで行く様子を指し、
特に月見客が十五夜を待ち焦がれる思いを表現しました。
情緒ある光景で昔の人の心の様は美しいな・・・と感じ”つきしろ”と読むことにしました。

Misty transparent and faint blue…
The shade of sea's color has changed with light,
It’s like a vesture of the celestial maiden and also like the color of akoya pearl

The color of this Acoya pearl is pale bluish-white.
This color is like a garment of heavenly median who is in the mythology
of the Koto Sea known as "the sound of harp by heavenly median” or the moonlight.
"Tsukishiro" is normally called Gettpack.
These words are relevant to the traditional colors of Japan.

When we say "Tsukishiro", it means the situation when the moon in the sky rises in the east.
This makes the sky white, and lighter. It specially expressed the situation that people who like watching the moon, longing for the 15th night of a lunar month (full moon).

I find this attitude in old Japan kind of romantic.
Their heart is beautiful, so I decided to call its color "Tsukishiro".
